The Bawcock Consulting team have been involved in a number of Automotive Engineering projects working on both existing platform quality and new platform functional safety.

Functional Safety (ISO-26262) is the hot topic in automotive. With the advent of mass market electric and hybrid vehicles it is imperitive that electonic control system safety is properly addressed; Functional Safety does just that. Working with Aston Martin, Bawcock Consulting is providing services to aid the Valkyrie in becoming a fully ISO-26262 vehicle. It will probably the most challenging vehicle ever to obtain full ISO-26262 adherence. 

Automotive quality is likely the single most important factor to the longevity of a car company. Bawcock Consulting has experience in existing platform vehicles in both general quality concerns and developing Cost vs Quality decision makers to aid in the commercial aspect of quality. 

In addition to Functional Safety the closely related Cyber-Security ISO-21434 (road vehicles cyber security). Bawcock consulting can also offer advisory services on implementing this standard withing OEM automotive production.
